One may be the loneliest number, but four is the happiest! I’m excited to announce that I don’t have one big project in the pipeline. Not two, either, or even three.
I’ve got FOUR major new projects in various stages of production right now!
You read that right: four. I can’t tell you everything about them yet (have to go through proper channels and all that), but I want you to know they exist, and they’re coming. Here’s what I can tell you about all four projects.
1. The sequel to Corridor
It’s happening. Everyone that’s read Corridor has expressed a desire to know what happens next to Troy and Victoria. I know exactly what happens to them after their adventure in the Corridor, so I’m going to tell you.
Corridor will be a trilogy when I’m done with it. I have the general story for the third one in my head, most importantly including how the whole thing ends, but I shouldn’t get ahead of myself… Troy and Victoria’s story continues with the second book, picking up a few months after the first one ends. And your head may explode when you read this one.
Announcement time! I’m thinking of calling it THE SECRET DOOR.
Current status: outline complete, writing begun.
Projected release date: tentatively no later than Christmas 2012.
2. A multi-author project
Another one, but nothing at all like 7 Hours. There’s not much I’m clear to say about this one yet, but I can tell you that four authors are involved, you’ll recognize most if not all four names, and it’s not going to be published in a traditional way. (How’s that for a tease!) It’s a wild idea, and I can tell you that I’ve had more fun creating the characters for this one than I have in a long time. As soon as I get the green light, I’ll tell you everything.
Current status: contract signed, writing begun.
Projected release date: October (tentatively).
3. Something that’s not a book
Here’s one to tickle your brain. It’s not a novel. It’s not a novella, it’s not a short story, it’s not even a blurb. It’s a different medium altogether. This one’s been in production the longest, so it’s pretty far along. It’s not my call to make regarding when to announce this one, because there are several parties involved. (I’m the only writer involved, though.) Another name attached to this one is a pretty famous one, so it’s a huge deal. I can’t wait to tell you about this project, and that will happen very, very soon.
Current status: contract signed, writing nearly complete.
Projected release date: within the next 2-3 months.
4. A co-writing project
The newest addition to this list is something that fell in my lap a few weeks ago, and is being fast-tracked into production almost immediately. This one doesn’t even have a title yet, but the storyline is crazy cool. I’m co-writing this alongside another well-known author, and it will be a true collaboration. This will be my first co-authorship and I’m super excited about it!
Current status: planning, awaiting contract.
Projected release date: sometime this Fall.
It’s pretty obvious that things have taken a sudden turn into a very exciting direction. I’m heading into a new season as a writer, and I’ve never been more excited!
Karen and I are praying hard that God will bless each and every one of these projects. Our end goals are that I’ll be able to move into writing fiction full time, and she’ll be able to be a stay-at-home mom. Please join us in praying toward that end, but most importantly that God’s will will be done and that he will be glorified by what we do.
Beyond these four projects, I have a number of other things I’m itching to get to. There’s been suggestions and idle conversations about other stories I want to tell, further down the line, with some of the same folks involved in the projects listed above. And my longtime passion project, code-named Project TRK, is always percolating in the back of my head. Other ideas are waiting for their moment to arrive, too.
Things are snowballing, my friends, and it’s going to be a very wild ride! Get ready.

So excited that Corridor will be a trilogy! I’ve read Corridor twice this year and it is still my favorite book so far! Looking forward to the next books. :)
Well, I fell in love with your writing with The Dominion Trilogy and I’ve been a huge supporter with your writing. I’m eager to read Corridor (have it on my Kindle) and now that I know it will be a trilogy, I’m even more stoked!
SOOOOOO curious about these four projects…enjoying 7 Hours, and so excited to hear a new and similar novel is in the works! May God richly bless the work of your hands and imagination as you seek to honor Him!
Robin,
These projects look great, look forward to getting into them!!
I am glad I found you as an author when I discovered your serialised novel, Relentless!!
Regards
That’s a lot!! I’m excited for you and your family. I’ll be standing in praying with you. I’m looking forward to reading your new books. May the blessings continue. In Jesus name.
I am extremely excited about this news Robin. I was feeling pretty down in the dumps this morning but you’ve just cheered me up :)
God’s blessing on you and family as you step into this new exciting stage of your career.
WOW! I am completely overwhelmed with excitement, here. At first I though you would announce just one major project…But instead you posted FOUR! And on top of that they’re all coming out before Christmas! I am so excited! Good luck!
I hope that #3 is a comic or graphic novel. That’d just be perfect.
It’s gonna be a lot of fun to speculate about #3. I was thinking maybe movie, audio drama or computer game.
You know, an old-school adventure game with a story by Robin Parrish would be awesome.
Very cool news Robin! Can’t wait until they are all released. Very excited for you!
Corridor was mind-blowing enough, can’t imagine how the sequel will top it.
That’s great! Can’t wait to see what they become. I’ve been trying to email you to ask to review the corridor book. I’ve gotten two failure notices. I’ve been sending from my yahoo account because I don’t have the other one. My email is shopgirl152nykiki@yahoo.com. Thanks.
When is the Secret Door being released? I am eager with anticipation! Great job on book 1, totally hooked!
